Cheesy Flakey Biscuits

These biscuits are deliciously flakey with just the right amount of cheesy goodness and are now a favorite around here. They paired perfectly with my creamy chicken stew recipe!

Yields8 Servings
 3 cups Flour
 ½ tsp Salt
 4 tsp Baking Powder
 ½ tsp Cream of tarter
 ¾ cup COLD Butter
 1 cup Milk or butter milk (one cup milk + 1 Tbs lemon juice)
 ½ cup Cheddar Cheese

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl

Cut butter into small cubes and with a pastry cutter or fork mix into dry ingredients

Add cold milk/butter milk and cheese

Use hands to combine being careful not to overmix or heat butter too much

Roll out 1/2 inch thick and use knife or biscuit cutters to form biscuits

Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes
